Why should you preview vehicles?
Although Copart provides 10 high-quality images and accurate descriptions for each vehicle, any information provided by the Seller or Copart is for convenience only. Therefore, it is your responsibility to confirm, research, inspect and investigate a vehicle prior to bidding on it. That's why Copart invites you to visit any of Copart's locations to preview vehicles of interest.Want to preview vehicles at a location near you?
- Licensed Basic and Premier Copart Members can preview vehicles at no cost Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Non-Copart-Members must sign up as Guest Members and pay a $25 fee in order to preview
- Premier Members are eligible for one complimentary Copart safety vest per Membership year, along with a free bottled water at each yard visit.
- All Members should contact any of Copart's locations beforehand to determine previewing days and times for their particular location.
What are the Copart guidelines to follow when visiting a location?
When visiting a Copart facility to inspect a vehicle in person, be sure to follow these guidelines to ensure a safe visit:- Always be aware of loaders and heavy equipment operating.
- Safety vests and closed-toe shoes are required at all times.
- Buyers are allowed in designated sale rows only.
- Inspection is limited to vehicles currently listed for sale.
- Tools of any kind, including diagnostic code readers, are not allowed in the yard. See a staff member if you need assistance with a vehicle.
- As a safety precaution, please do not attempt to start a vehicle without a Copart employee.
- Vehicles cannot be test driven.
What safety precautions does Copart follow when you preview a vehicle?
At all 200+ Copart locations, our mission is to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff. Due to the unprecedented COVID-19 outbreak, we have set safety precautions in place to do just that. Measures we're taking include eliminating nonessential foot traffic to locations in accordance with government requirements and state guidelines.Also, all locations have implemented a Virtual Queue, which limits the amount of people allowed in our lobbies at any given time, further promoting social distancing guidelines.What if you're unable to visit the facility?
Members who are unable to visit a vehicle in person can choose a Copart-recommended inspector to preview on their behalf. These third-party professionals can help you make bidding and buying decisions by providing you with thorough, informative details about the vehicles you are interested in.Another alternative when you're unable to view a vehicle in person is to purchase a vehicle condition report. For only $35 USD, a Vehicle Condition Report provides you with:- Two additional internal/external videos of your vehicle.
- Additional photos detailing the vehicles's features and potential damage.
- Options to view vehicle equipment, and condition and tire information.
